Cancellations and Delays

St. Therese School usually follows the Steel Valley school District for closings and delays. We also reserve the right to close school even if Steel Valley does not if we judge that the conditions are unsafe for our families to travel to school.

Parents are informed of school closings or delays due to weather or other circumstances in the following ways:

• Through the OptionC Parent Alert System by sending out email, telephone and text messages.
• By listening for an announcement regarding St. Therese School, Munhall on the following channels: 
  WTAE-TV - Channel 4
  WPXI-TV OR PCNC - Channel 11
  KDKA-TV - Channel 2, KDKA RADIO, Pittsburgh's CW (WNPA-TV)
• By viewing the following websites:
  www.thepittsburghchannel.com
  www.wpxi.com
  www.kdka.com

Two-hour delay schedule for the four-year-old class:

• 10 a.m. start time
• Students who attend morning session only are dismissed at noon

Two-hour delay schedule for half-day kindergarten students:

• Dismissal at noon (stay for lunch)
